Brand Vocabulary
Brand Vocabulary is the list of words your business always uses and the words it has banned, held as a file you can open and edit. When you run the Enhance pass on a draft, the writer is given that list and told to honour it: preferred terms in, banned terms out. It is a rule you set, not a habit the software picked up by watching you.
An allow-list and a deny-list, both editable by you
Applied by name during the Enhance pass on a draft
Stored as a file you can read, not a hidden profile
Set once for the business, used on every article after

A list, not a personality
Plenty of tools promise to learn how you write. This is a smaller and more checkable promise: you write down the words you want and the words you do not, and those words are handed to the writer on every Enhance pass. If a term you banned shows up in a draft, that is a bug we can fix, not a mood the software was in. The list is the whole mechanism, which is why you can audit it.
Why the list beats the guess
Trade language is where generic writing gives itself away. A roofer says tear-off, not roof removal. A clinic says patients, not customers. A firm that has spent a decade avoiding the word cheap does not want it appearing in paragraph four. None of that is inferable from a writing sample, and all of it is obvious to you in about five minutes at a keyboard.
Where it applies, precisely
The word list reaches the writer during the Enhance pass, which is the pass that takes a draft and tightens it. That is the honest scope. It is not a filter sitting over every generation step in the product, and we would rather tell you which pass it runs in than let you assume it runs in all of them.
What it does not do
Worth knowing before you buy, not after.
- Only the allow-list and deny-list reach the writer. The rest of what the product records about your business informs other steps, not this one.
- It applies during the Enhance pass on a draft. It is not a global filter over every generation step in the product.
- Recording is not learning. The product stores signals from your editing, but nothing reads those signals back into how it writes. If you want a change, edit the list.
- Three of the five kinds of editing signal the system defines are not captured at all today, so do not read the stored history as a complete record of your preferences.
Questions
What buyers ask before they start
Does it learn my voice from what I write?
No, and we will not claim it does. It applies a list you wrote. Your edits are recorded but nothing reads them back into the writing, so the only way to change how it writes is to change the list. That is slower to set up and far more predictable afterwards.
What happens if a banned word appears anyway?
Tell us, because that is a defect rather than a limitation. The list is passed to the writer explicitly on the Enhance pass, so a banned term surviving that pass is something to fix.
How long does it take to set up?
A few minutes. Most businesses can name five terms they always use and five they never use without thinking hard, and that alone changes how the output reads.
