Keyword Tracking

Keyword tracking follows the search terms that matter to your business and records where you rank for each one, refreshed on a cycle and kept as history so you can see direction rather than a single snapshot. It sits alongside the AI surface tracking, because buyers still type into a search box as well as asking an assistant.

Up to one hundred tracked keywords per refresh cycle

Rank recorded per keyword, kept as ninety days of history

Direction, not just today's number

Two questions, both worth answering

Does an assistant name us when someone asks for the best in town, and do we appear when someone types the same thing into a search box. Those are different questions with different answers, and a business that only tracks one of them is guessing about half its demand. Keyword tracking is the second question, kept honest with history.

One number is not a trend

Rank moves for reasons that have nothing to do with you, so a single reading tells you very little. Ninety days of readings tells you whether the work is landing. The history is the useful part, and it is why the ceiling on tracked terms exists: a hundred keywords measured properly beats a thousand measured once.

A weak keyword becomes work

A term you should own and do not is not just a red cell in a table. It is the input to the other half of the product, which is deciding what to publish next and then publishing it.

What it does not do

Worth knowing before you buy, not after.

  • One hundred keywords per business per refresh cycle. It is a fair-use ceiling and it can be raised on request, but it is a real limit today.
  • Rank checking needs your website address on file. Without it no rank is recorded at all, which is the single most common reason a new account sees empty cells.
  • Rank history is kept for ninety days. Older readings are not retained, so this is not a multi-year archive.
  • It reports position. It does not promise to move it, and any tool that does is selling something we would not.

Questions

What buyers ask before they start

Why are my keywords showing no rank at all?

Almost always because the website address is not on file for the business. Rank checking needs to know which domain to look for, and without it nothing is recorded. Adding the address and waiting for the next cycle fixes it.

Can I track more than a hundred keywords?

The ceiling is a hundred per refresh cycle as fair use, and it is raised on request. We would rather set a number we can actually measure well than advertise an unlimited figure we quietly throttle.

How far back does the history go?

Ninety days. That is enough to see whether a change worked and not enough to be a long-term archive, and we would rather say so than let you plan around data we do not keep.
